The’ Tea House in Hua Hin is a classy afternoon tea hidden right in the FN Factory Outlet that serves world’s best Tea – Mariage Freres in an exquisite ambiance. The Earthy and Elegance setting lured me to this café, particularly with the authentic French Cake and Boulangerie. I came to sample their lovely afternoon tea set, and surprisingly I was in luck to try their newest craft “Taste of Paris” an array of delightful French savouries housed in a gorgeous two-tiered Eiffel Tower stand.
The Atmosphere
The mood is very quirky with its sophisticated European furniture, hanging plants, shimmering crystal chandeliers, antique ornaments, and the catchy bronze facade with murals that will make you wonder whether you’re in a rainforest or in Europe. Perhaps, both! Not only that the milieu looks striking, the aroma of the French teas lingers me. It’s a sanctuary of lavishness!
Taste of Paris
My eyes feasted on the two-tiered Eiffel Tower tea set that was presented on a native table. I fancied sitting on a rococo style chair while sipping their signature Marco Polo tea. Let me just say that the new concept for the afternoon tea is so aristocratic! Koms, on the other hand enjoyed Vert Provence. At one point, we switched teas and the Vert Provence has a bright and fruity flavour, with a lavender aroma. Taste quite acquiring! Both were highly recommended French Mariage Freres Gourmet Tea since 1854! Bringing a French tea tradition is just so noble, imo. Marco Polo was infused to perfection. I just love its overflowing zest of red berries balanced with bold black tea. Love at first sip!
Looking at the savouries made me drool. They’re just too lovely to eat. While I am a fan of scones, Koms is a huge scone snob so I indulged into scones. Light, soft texture and taste even better with a cream! Sweet Raspberry and Lemon Macarons are to my liking. Both were filling and taste flavoursome. Mouth-watering to the core. Four croissants were served in a black rectangular plate which comes in two type, the ham and the tuna croissants with baby romaine. I preferred the former, buttery and freshly baked.
Staff
The staff surprisingly speak good English! I bet this is a spot in Hua Hin where staff can really converse. There is no language barrier and that’s actually pretty good! They seem to be passionate on the things that they do. They also helped us choose the right kind of tea that suits our taste buds.
The’ Tea House is an oasis of opulence. Afternoon Tea at The’ Tea House is not something to be rushed, rather one’s to lean back in your chair and relish life’s utmost bliss!
Nothing captures the true spirit of French Teas like the “Taste of Paris!”
Magnifique!
