Found a new place to Lepaq Lepaq and that is The 3rd Place in Kota Damansara. An unpretentious café that serves western and Asian delights with creative art café!
Ambiance
The café looks simple, yet stylish. It is spacious, big enough to host any kind of party, be it birthday bash, anniversary and even mini workshop! The hanging light bulbs above the dining table exudes warm character. The colourful cushions in the sofa and the artificial green decors looks pleasing to the eye. Wall plate decor with positive words and phrases engrave on it radiate good vibes.
Breakfast
They say that the breakfast is the most important part of the meal. We started off with three of the cafés famous all day brekky, The Big English Breakfast (RM 20), Rosti Potato Pancake (RM 14), and Scrambled Egg Croissant (RM 14). I adored the croissant simplicity, yet tasty. I was overwhelmed with the big breakfast, stuffed with so many portions of sausage, ham, hash brown, beans, scrambled egg, it was called big breakfast for a reason!
Pasta
Pasta lovers will fall in love with the 3rd place craft! The chef served us with Seafood Aglio Olio (RM 24), Pasta Alla Carbonara (RM 22), and Salted Egg Yolk Soft Shell Crab Pasta (RM 35). I’m not a fan of Carbonara, and the seafood Aglio Olio taste just right. It’s my all time favorite Italian pasta! But wait, let me just tell you that the salted egg yolk soft shell crab was cooked to perfection! I would highly recommend this for pasta aficionadas!
Mains
The main courses were appealing and delicious! We dig into French Chicken Confit (RM 22), which reminds me of my first trip in Paris. It has the right amount of saltiness. So classic! The Pan Seared Seabass with sweet Potato Puree (RM 25) was presented beautifully on a black marble plate. The asparagus and the sweet potato really go well with the Seabass. The Pan Seared Norwegian Salmon with Mango Salsa (RM 28) was moist and tender with a crisp skin. The salmon vanished from the plate in a matter of minutes! So sumptuous!
Asian Delights
I love that the 3rd Place café also served Asian cuisine such as Hokkaido Scallop Seafood Rice (RM 17), Char Kuey Teow (RM 14), and the famous Nasi Lemak with Chicken Rendang (RM 16), which is their signature dish! I am a Char Kuey Teow Snob, yet crazy over Chicken Rendang, which was served creatively in a native rattan plate! The veggies made it vibrant and the sambal has the right balance of spiciness and sweetness at the same time!
Burgers & Sandwiches
We also had some bites of burgers and sandwiches, which were good pair for coffee. The Café served us with Hawaiian Chicken (RM 20), Grilled Beef Burger (RM 22), and Signature Club Deckers (RM 14), which were presented in a wooden board. It looks very instagrammable! I picked the beef burger in a heartbeat! The meat was succulent and juicy!
Salads & Soups
The chef prepared us with some salads such as Sweet Corn Salad (RM 14), and Asian Pomelo Salad (RM 14). The salads were fresh and colorful which gave a lively mood.
As for the soups, we had Mushroom Cappuccino Soup (RM 9) and Seafood Chowder Soup (RM 12). The latter is so creamy and it instantly became my favorite! Thumbs up on this soup!
Desserts
There is always room for desserts! We had Crème Brulee (RM 12), and Banana Fritters with Vanilla Ice Cream (RM 12). I preferred the latter and you know why! It’s my all time fave classic dessert. They just nailed the crème brulee! The caramelised sugar on top was sublime!
Beverage
With so many choices for drinks, The 3rd Café let us relished with some of their best hand crafted coffee! Being an ex barista, I would say the coffee at the 3rd Place taste good not to mention the artistic coffee art! It is so artsy!
The third place will be your third place after home and office!
