The Piazza: An alfresco Dining with the view of The Ruins Bacolod

The Piazza is the new all-day restaurant located in the heart of the Ruins which offers an exquisite alfresco dining experience with the view of the mansion. The restaurant provides mainly Spanish-Italian-Ilonggo cuisine that caters the local’s tastebuds and visitors dining experience. Interesting menu ranging from Pica-Pica, Pizza, Pasta, desserts, and beverage. We knew we were in for some food experience with the view of the Ruins. The view that never gets old!

We had Don Mariano’s Special Pizza which comprises of ham, beef salami, ground beef, bell peppers, capers, inions, mushrooms, Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese. We adored the crispiness of the crust. The bustling flavors that blends with each other. We glad that they’re generous with the amount of cheese, too! I didn’t expect that it would taste delightful beyond my standard.

We also sampled some pasta – Txistorra Recado which a mix of locally made Spanish Chorizo, rendered in garlic and basil. The pasta was beautifully presented like those of a fine dining. It was too lovely to eat. I’m such a fan of chorizo and the dish vanished from the plate in a matter of seconds.

The pizza and the pasta compliments well with the red wine pairing. It was an excellent choice. We were supposed to witness the dramatic sunset dinner. Unluckily, the weather did not cooperate. We did enjoyed our dining experience despite the bad weather.

The Ruins is magnificent and stunning any time of the day. My favorite time at night where the mansion lip up so gorgeously! Classic, charming, lovely, and beautiful Mansion – A true pride of Negros!
