The Rabbit Hole at Changkat Bukit Bintang has relaunch its latest look with pool vibes! Together with Tap Tap and Brew and Bread, the Rabbit hole’s fresh look bring Changkat back alive!
The queue is insane, and despite visiting the café on a weekday, it doesn’t make any huge difference because the place is still hectic. It was a bit of relief though when we get the chance to check out the café and boy it was a success!
The café is huge and packed! There is an alfresco setting, an indoor venue, and the pool ambiance. Of course, we picked to dine by the pool which gave us a feeling of a tropical sense. Luckily the timing and the weather cooperated that day.
For starters we had Salad “Alice Secret Garden” (RM23.80), juicy sesame Mozzarella Cheese stuffed with Chicken Meatballs paired with mesclun salad, purple sweet potato, chickpeas, potato chips and herby yogurt sauce. I’ve never seen a salad so beautifully presented for such a long time! Taste incredibly amazing, too.
As for the Mains we instantly picked Herby Lemon Seabass Fairy (RM 26.80), seabass was pan-seared with lemon and dill. It was served with capers and dill lemon-herb sauce, accompanied with pomegranate couscous. It was mouthwatering and never really expect that the capers would perfectly balance all flavors. We choose Thai Pineapple Fried Rice from the Asian Meals (RM29.80) which was served on a Pineapple Shell along with the mini red Tom Yum Soup. The rice was served with delicious grilled shrimp. Both rice and soup were served hot and tasty!
Dessert is something not to be missed and the One-of-a-kind Crème Brulee (RM18.80) looks very irresistible and enticing. It looked exactly the same as the photo they showed in the menu! Lovely plating of Crème Brulle, edible flowers, vanilla ice cream, fresh strawberries, passionfruit, cookie crumbs, and strawberry compote. If you’ve been following this blog, you know that I am a fan of crème brulee and this one’s simply the best! The custard was creamily baked, and the caramelized sugar was just right. The kind of burnt I’m looking for in a brulee!
And oh, for Coffee we had Americano and Lattes, respectively. We relished the food as much as we enjoyed the coffee. Can’t complain in terms of service – they’re quite speedy despite the overly crowd. We were supposed to take away some bread from the Bread and Brew because it looks so absolutely delish but at the time we finished our late lunch – everything was sold out! That quick! Since I’m nearby, I had the chance to get some bread early in the morning during my sunrise walk. They don’t open so early tho thus I had my grocery run and come back. Bread is fresh and good!
The Rabbit Hole Café make-over is really a huge smash. It deserves a big round of applause.
Will probably swing by for a cocktail from Tap Tap the next round…
