The Stolen Cup is a charming café situated in Jalan Hang Jebat right in the heart of Jonker Walk. In the search for cafes in Melaka, we stumbled upon this vintage style café famous for its Gula Melaka and Salted Croissant.
We came for a cup of coffee and a place to do some work. Tuesday seemed to be the perfect day to stop for a slow coffee fix. The café looks so classic with its old-fashioned décor from Miniature of kombi vans to airplanes, motorcycles, quirky quotes, antique lamps, wooden tables, and rustic chairs. Timeless wooden stairs that make the entire setting like taken out from the 70’s. Felt like we were transported back to the old-world era.
We picked Strawberry Fraises, Almond Croissant, and Mixed Berry Danish in a heartbeat. Best paired with Hot lattes and Hot Long Black. The pastries were good, and the overall ambiance is cool! No one picked Gula Melaka Latte though. I would love to however, at that moment, I wasn’t in the mood for something sweet. Needed to be awake for work. The salted Egg yolk croissant though is something that I regret not ordering.
The Cafe has some friendly staff and lots of people stop by to take away some pastries. It is such a great find not to be missed when in Jonker Walk. It’s a great café to relax after a long day walk around Heritage.
What I love about Melaka is that there is always something new to discover. This might be an established café few years back but being able to “steal a cup” of latte from this cafe make me see the other side of Melaka.
Here’s to taking time to “Steal a Cup!”
