The X Bangsar continues to bring us the delicious “Stay Home Menu” with a Japanese flair. The restaurant fundamentally keeps making new and exciting items on the menu that would stimulate our palate. The restaurant offers variety of food from Main Dishes, Snack, Soup, and even Specials of the Day for take-away, delivery and even dine-in ensuing Social Distancing protocols.
Pizza
On the Mains, they deliver two different flavors of Pizzas, Mutton Masala and Mushroom Pizza. In our case, we opted for the Trio of Mushroom, which is bursting with mozzarella cheese and oregano flavors. Absolutely perfect for sharing!
Tiger Prawn Aglio Olio
Another dish that caught our attention is the Tiger Prawn Aglio Olio, one of my quintessential pasta dishes of all time. The X nailed this pasta; it’s as good as bistros in Italy. Love the kick of the chili flakes and the right amount of garlicky flavor.
Salted Egg Calamari
Salted Egg might seem like a culinary novelty through most Asian food. During my first days in Malaysia, Salted Egg is the flavor I get addicted with and still obsessed till this day. The X’s Crispy Calamari Salted Egg Yolk Sauce with Bird’s eye Chillies is absolutely delish! The curry leaves made it smells really aromatic.
Chicken Karaage
The X’s Chicken Karaage mainly consists of Crispy Chicken Poppers and Wasabi Mayo dip. It sounds very basic and really simple, but the taste is to die for! Perhaps, my best pick for the whole menu. Can’t get enough of the wasabi dip. Appetizing to the core!
Salmon Miso Steak
White miso, Norwegian Salmon, Garlic butter carrot, Broccoli, Crispy potato wedges. I don’t know what else doesn’t sound so appealing here. The Miso Steak is cooked well. The robust flavor of the salmon holds up beautifully with the sweet and salty miso glaze. It also look very lovely, the colors were vibrant making it a healthy food choice. No one can go wrong with this dish.
MEDITERRANEAN LAMB CUTLETS
Last but not the least, in the delivery food item is the New Zealand Lamb Rack with Mediterranean spice mix and Watercress vinaigrette salad. The meat is tasty and juicy. Just naturally lean and tender. It is such a brilliant recipe! It’s too elegant not to pick it from the list!
Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Let’s not forget that The X is not just a restaurant but also a Bar located in the most happening street of Bangsar. The X sends us over Luis Filipe Edwards Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 red wine that perfectly matches with Pasta, Steaks and Chicken!
Cocktails, wine, Liquor is absolutely available at The X. In fact, they’re having a Whisky tasting promo all day, every Tuesday! 3 Glasses of Whiskey at RM 65m sounds like a great deal!
