Magical! That’s what I described our Christmas stay in The LakeHouse, a Fairy tale Tudor style hotel in Ringlet Cameron Highlands. I’ve been to Cameron Highlands a few times and I have never been to The Lake House. I thought it would be a good idea to book one of their elegant rooms with my family and friends. Christmas is the busiest day of the year and we were lucky to book the last room!
We stayed in a beautiful Family Suite with clean bathroom and luxurious amenities. The bed with its white curtain drapes is not only elegant but is also comfortable. I have a thing for colonial style hotel and it did not disappoint me. The Family Suite is huge which consists of two separate rooms and is decorated in an old classic furniture’s. The only drawback is that the bathroom is attached to the masters room and it’s a bit of a hassle to go through which is quite disturbing to the person sleeping in the masters.
There is TV for entertainment and although the WIFI is strong, it gets intermittent sometimes. The room is blessed with a great garden view, moreover, I am so charmed with the lovely English vibe.
The hotel is perched on top of the hill and is surrounded with lush greens, chirping birds, beautiful alfresco cafe with a nice view of the mountain, and overlooking the lake.
Fresh strawberries, scones and Chamomile tea were my great pick during breakfast buffet. The restaurant setting is romantic, quaint and so classic. Early foggy morning gave me chills and the surrounding is so picturesque with its Tudor house and amazing view of clouds just the perfect, lovely, tranquil Christmas with my friends and Family away from the maddening crowd.
There’s a jungle trek near the hotel that not to be missed. I think this is something that is different from my previous trip in Cameron Highlands. Early morning jog and trek with such a great view is definitely a killer.
I loved that the place is very homey, yet with a quirky character. We spent the night at The Lakehouse Highlander Lounge over some bottles of wine. Nonstop conversations and good times. It’s the meaningful moments that makes the whole experience worthwhile.
I’ve been to Cameron Highlands a couple of times and The Lakehouse was really one of the best Lux stays experience I had. My short affair with the hotel is such a fleeting moment that I need to return for a High Afternoon Tea.
Have you been to the Lakehouse Cameron Highlands? How was your stay? I’ll be seriously dead jealous if you had High Afternoon tea in the Lake house garden. 😀
