Take some time to rejuvenate – That’s definitely a great advice to anyone who need a day to de-stress from the busy work schedule. So SPA at Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara opened last month conveys a gratifying pampering that everyone crave. I was delighted to finally take some me time to spoil myself.
The soft lighting of the Spa welcomed me with its calming décor. I suddenly felt like I was in a different world, a much comforting world with spa music playing at the background. The therapist escorted me to the massage room and soaked my tired feet in a bowl full of rose petals. Ahhh, foot baths are absolutely a feast for the feet!
The next thing I know, I felt the gentle pressure at my back as the therapist strokes the area where I want her to focus. I closed my eyes and enjoyed every rubs it takes to ease my muscle pain. The synchronized strokes was a back pain life saver. It lasted for almost 2 hours. I was completely revived! The massage definitely brought my body and mind to a state of serenity. My therapist was really good at her craft. I am terrible at names, I even asked her name before the massage started, however it slipped right out my head after introduction. She made me feel comfortable with her pressure the entire time.
Gastronomy plays an essential role at So SPA. What an astonishing way to enjoy herbal tea and mini cookies after such therapeutic massage! There’s a dedicated relaxation lounge for guests to extend reflecting while enjoying light finger foods and hot beverage offers at the spa.
I still felt like I am in a tranquil world while sipping a cup of tea. It doesn’t matter if it is chamomile anymore (I can still have it the next day at Le Gouter), all I know is that it my tired muscle has just been revitalized. My shoulders felt so much freer.
Undeniably, a good rubdown can be a total godsend!
