Hidden Langkawi in Pantai Tengah is a beachfront restaurant with Bali atmosphere. White and blue concept with a touch of Nipa Hut that matches the blue skies and turquoise seas. We came for the beach view, sampling food, dramatic sunset and simply just to chill.
The restaurant is comprises of two floors and the 2nd floor was still closed during our visit. 1st floor is where the bar is located and a platform with an array of blue chairs and white tables facing the sea.
It’s our first meal in Langkawi and we headed off to Hidden Restaurant right after check in. My friends Ram and Rosa picked Coconut (RM 15). I instantly selected a glass of Prosecco (RM 25) in a heartbeat! As for the food, Rosa indulge into Mushroom Grilled Chic Chop (RM 30). Ram spoiled himself with his all-time fave Beef Bacon Carbonara (RM 28). I fancied Seafood Aglio E Olio (RM 29). I realized that my choices for beverage and food were “very Italian”.
We were in for some relaxation at the beach after 5 months of being lockdown in KL We literally stayed there like half day! There is something about the sound of the waves that is very soothing. We love that.
We can’t complain about the food. Only the service is slow and unfortunately there was like only one guy taking the orders. The tables facing the beach were fully reserved. I would highly recommend you make your reservations.
We heard that the sunset is the best here. We ordered Munch-On Nachos (RM 16), Prosecco (RM 25), Hidden Paradise (RM 16) and Classic Mojito (RM 28). I would say that the nachos are just right, not too less and not generous portion, too. Hidden Paradise which is their ultimate signature mocktail comprises of Pineapple juice, cranberry juice, elderflower, soda and grenadine. I ordered it for a reason. It’s too much ice and I felt like I can’t savor the flavor that it tastes almost like nothing. You bet this is the only thing that I regret ordering. We could all agree tho that it looks very charming. An optimal beach beverage everyone will be having for summer days.
The sunset at the beach is the most awaited part of the day and definitely the highlight and best take away here. Everyone’s excited and busy with their camera the moment the sky turns into fire.
Golden hour is happy hour. It was pure magic.
