There is only one way to see the breathtaking view of Cape Town and that is through a flight with NAC Helicopters. Cape Town is so beautiful. I conquered the Table mountain, relaxed at Camps Bay, met the Big 5, enjoyed Paragliding, dived with the Great White Sharks and the list could go on and on. When I did the Paragliding, I told myself I want to see more of Cape Town. Helicopter ride is on top of my list. I don’t want to leave the city without seeing Cape Town on an aerial view. It was an amazing experience.
Professional Crew
I stayed in Table View during my visit and It was a bit far from V&A, I didn’t anticipate the traffic, I thought I wasn’t going to make it on time. When I arrived, the crew welcomed me with a smile. I was supposed to be flying with a friend, but she didn’t make it so they have to make some new arrangement for the flight. Frankie offered me a champagne while waiting for my flight. The safety briefing, the ticketing and the boarding was so swift. I thought I was going to wait long due to the changes of the flight, but the service was fast. The staff are attentive and friendly. They escorted me all the way. I liked that one of the crew offered to take a photo of me with the helicopter background. It was a great gesture compare to other activities I’ve done that they have their own photographer and will try to sell it for you even though the photo was taken ugly. The Pilot was very helpful and knowledgeable, he knows exactly what to say and where to point your cameras. Nac Helicopters did a pretty good job, what fabulous team!
The Hopper Tour
The Hopper Tour is a 12 minute scenic flight that offers a panoramic view of the city. I was glad that the weather cooperated. Our flight took off from the Victoria and Alfred (V&A) Waterfront, one of the famous attractions in Cape Town and my favourite place to dine, wine, shop and relax. The flight comprises of fantastic views of Green Point, Cape Point Stadium, Sea Point, Clifton, Camps Bay and the Twelve Apostles. The tour was mind blowing!
The Experience
It was a great way to see Cape Town. It is one of the memorable things I did there. It was entertaining and there wasn’t a time that I felt unsafe. The views are incredibly stunning and no amount of money can replace the experience. I saw the Table Mountain, the lovely 12 apostles, Camps bay, Clifton, Signal Hill, Lions Head, V&A, Robben Island, the famous stadium, Green Point, Sea Point and pretty much the entire city of Cape Town. Our Captain never failed to introduced all the highlights of the tour. The view was superb, I have been to the 12 apostles but seeing it from air was truly magical. The sight is to die for, especially the post card view that I always see each time I googled Cape Town, no words can describe how spectacular it was.
What a better and the quickest way to see Cape Town! I would love to go back and probably do the Cape Point Tour through Nac Helicopters. Cape Point was magnificent from the ground, and I’m pretty sure that seeing it from above would be more Jaw-dropping! I can’t wait to go back!
